Sr. Program Manager - AEVEX Aerospace

About the Job
The Sr. Program Manager is responsible for directing the determination of project requirements and work plans, ensuring safety and compliance, and maintaining professional standards aligned with AEVEX culture. They manage project plans, budgets, and customer relations, implement DOD/NDAA compliance, develop program schedules, and maintain strong internal and external relationships to meet operational priorities and financial goals.
Essential Functions
- Ensures projects/programs are executed to the highest level of safety (physical and
airworthiness) and compliance. - Responsible and accountable for all aspects (from inception to completion) of assigned Repair,
Modification, Manufacturing, Engineering, Certification, or Supplemental Type Certificate (STC)
Development programs including execution (financials, schedule, technical performance, quality,
supply chain, and customer engagement) and ensuring program commitments are met on budget
and schedule. - Acts as primary project contact to establish key stakeholder, both internal and external,
requirements and project objectives. Directs all phases of projects or subsystems of major
projects from inception through completion. Coordinates commitments with internal and external
stakeholders to fulfill strategies and requirements of the program. - Leads or participates with the growth team in the creation of new business strategies, product
roadmaps and captures including development of strategic and financial plans. Leads the
development and delivery of new business captures and proposals. - Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating
preparation of proposals, business plans, statements of work, estimates and budgets,
schedule/lead times, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal
compliance and to protect the organization's interests. - Identifies and capitalizes on program opportunities to increase company revenues and customer
satisfaction. - Works autonomously with limited oversight leading large projects and programs by developing
program plans, schedules and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility. - Analyzes data and monitors programs to ensure adherence to contract scope of work, cost,
schedule, quality, airworthiness and technical specifications. - Develops, maintains, and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the
project/program to internal executive leadership and customers. - Demonstrates continuous improvement initiatives to optimize organizational capabilities to
improve efficiency and quality. - Effectively communicates expectations and develops innovative strategies to enhance
organizational capabilities that support operational priorities and requirements. - Proactively identifies and addresses risks and opportunities, and develops solutions to problems
which require critical thinking, creativity, and innovation to ensure the successful completion of
projects/programs. - Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the
project/program objectives. - May act as the hiring manager for assigned projects/programs; supervise the screening,
selection, and hiring of candidates. - Ensures all personnel meet/exceed professional standards and embrace the AEVEX culture.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].

Qualifications and Competencies
- In-depth knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs), Defense Federal Acquisition
Regulations (DFARs), and FAA Code of Federal Regulations (CFRs). - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills essential.
- Ability to develop and mentor/coach others.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills.

Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited University (MS or MBA preferred)
- Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
Experience
- 15 or more years Program/Project Management experience.

AEVEX provides a reasonable range of compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific location. The range of starting pay for this position is for the listed location only.
