Contributes to product strategy developmentand partners with Director, Product or Product Manager and business tocommunicate development challenges and opportunities. Builds and maintainsstrong collaboration with the team and ensures product capabilities align tobusiness strategy and expected outcomes. Education and Experience
The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. - Responsible for understanding the current state of product development and the associated workflows and communication plans. Develops new product ideas, documents product requirements and maintains workflows with the highest degree of independence.
- Independently and effectively translate product management narratives into user stories ensuring expected outcomes are achieved.
- Reviews, analyzes, and approves testing plans for products with the highest complexity.
- Prepares timeline and prioritized work list for the delivery team (scrum team) while focusing on business value. Responds to first level questions and communicates delays across stakeholders.
- Assesses and represents development challenges throughout the product lifecycle, offering solutions to the Director, Product or Product Manager, removing impediments to team progress, and communicating concerns to stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to key stakeholders throughout the strategy, roll-out and feedback life cycle for products.
- Collects, assimilates, and communicates feedback by incorporating Voice of the Customer input, evaluating customer feedback on product features, and offering professional assessment of product functionality and user experience.
- Maintain information on competitive intelligence, industry trends and consumer need to ensure competitive advantage.
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses thorough knowledge and practical application of Agile methodologies
- Possesses thorough knowledge of software development life cycles
- Ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships
- Proficient ability to write and interpret requirement documents for complex business systems
- Highly proficient ability to multi-task and manage workflows to meet and exceed production and service expectations
- Highly proficient ability to solve problems and make sound decisions
Education and Experience
- College degree preferred
- 5+ years of business analysis experience
- 5+ years of experience in insurance line of business role
- Demonstrated success in leading projects from inception to delivery
