The Books Publisher Experience ("PX") team is looking for a high achieving, results-oriented Senior Product Manager (Tech). Our team's north star vision is to serve readers by enabling publishers world-wide to easily work with us across channels (digital books, physical books, and print-on-demand), to grow their business in a self-service manner, with excellent support when needed and with confidence in Amazon as a trusted partner.
As a PM in our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth and improving the experience of our publishers -in particular for their digital business- owning the product vision and roadmap. As part of that, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders to develop mechanisms to collect data and anecdotes from our selling partners, translate them into actionable insights, size and prioritize opportunities and finally drive implementation in partnership with internal teams as needed (Tech, Business, Finance, Legal, UX, etc.). You need to be comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rolling up your sleeves to dive deeper into problem statements, whilst keeping a high bar on scalability, to expand the solutions you will design in all of the countries where our digital programs are active.
The ideal candidate has strong business judgement, and can solve complicated problems with simple, elegant solutions.
Key job responsibilities
- Partner with world-wide PX, Advantage (consignment program for physical books), Tech, UX, Finance, Business, Legal, Ops stakeholders, to establish the product vision, goals and KPIs
- Define mechanisms to collect data and anecdotes (including first hand feedbacks) from our selling partners to identify new product opportunities
- Scope and size product opportunities across a large spectrum of business pillars. Create business requirement docs and drive iterative development cycles with UX and Engineering Teams.
- Consolidate and prioritize product opportunities to create and continuously refresh the product roadmap, with the goal of increasing the appeal of our digital programs, driving growth and improving the selling partner experience.
- Own the implementation of new product launches. Oversee usability testing, drive selling partner awareness and adoption of new and existing features, scaling the solutions in all countries where our digital programs is active.
- Manage bottlenecks, resolve escalations, and drive key feature and resource trade-offs.
- Develop, articulate, and promote data-driven decisions to solve complex business problems
- Provide periodic visibility to Senior Business Leaders on the progress, learnings and action plans related to the strategic workstreams you will be leading

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of end to end product delivery experience
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
- Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience writing BRD and PR FAQ
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, as well as experience managing changing priorities

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
