Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, marketing, computer science, engineering, or a related discipline is often required as a foundation.
- Master's Degree (Optional): While not always mandatory, a master's degree in business administration (MBA), product management, or a related field can be advantageous, especially for more senior positions. An MBA can provide a deeper understanding of business strategy, leadership, and management principles.
- Product Management Experience: Extensive experience in product management is essential, typically ranging from 8 to 12 years or more, depending on the organization's requirements. This experience should encompass various aspects of product development, launch, and management across different industries and product types.
- Leadership and Management Experience: Significant experience in leadership and management roles, including managing teams of product managers, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic decision-making. Experience in mentoring and developing junior product managers is also valuable.
