About the Job
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Manager to lead our Data and Insights product team. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for our data-centric offerings as well as defining our internal data strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, marketing, and sales, to deliver innovative solutions that meet the needs of our customers, enhance our market position and deliver internal insights to measure and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for our Data and Insights products, both external customer facing products and internal insights needs, that aligns with company goals, customer needs and internal stakeholder needs.
- Roadmap Development: Create and maintain a prioritized product roadmap, balancing short-term needs with long-term vision and market opportunities.
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape; leverage insights to inform product decisions.
- Strategic Analysis: Utilize market research, competitive analysis, and internal data to create compelling business cases that articulate the strategic value of new data products and features.
- Documentation and Presentation: Prepare comprehensive documentation that outlines the business case, including executive summaries and supporting data visualizations, to present to senior leadership and decision-makers.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, data engineers / data scientists, and design teams to define product requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to gather feedback, validate product concepts, and ensure product solutions meet their needs.
- Performance Metrics: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions to optimize product offerings.
- Go-to-Market Strategy: Work with marketing and sales teams to develop effective go-to-market strategies, including positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams through the product development lifecycle, ensuring alignment and effective communication across departments.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of product management experience, with a focus on Data and Insights products or related fields.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of data technologies, analytics, and the data lifecycle, with experience in working with data engineering and data science teams.
- Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex data sets, derive insights, and make data-driven decisions.
- Data Toolsets: Experience with Tableau, Microsoft BI, Looker or other relevant data visualization toolsets.
- Customer-Centric Mindset: Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional product experiences.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile product development processes and tools.
Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
