Responsibilities:

- Independently lead complex engineering assignments related to product design and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, manufacturing, suppliers, and marketing.
- Conduct independent studies, analysis, interpretations, and draw valuable conclusions.
- Provide guidance to fellow engineers and mechanical designers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.
- Ensure projects adhere to budget and schedule constraints while driving engineering approvals of production parts.
- Utilize Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) techniques for thorough evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in product development, encompassing the entire lifecycle.
- Proficient in PTC CREO/Windchill for CAD modeling and Product Data Management (PDM) systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for addressing technical challenges.
- Solid understanding of mechanical properties, material science, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven track record of successful product launches into production.
- Experience in engineering approvals of parts for production (ISIR/PPAPs) and DFMEA/PFMEAs.
Preferences:
- Familiarity with economic principles, cost analysis, and profit/loss evaluations in product engineering.
- Broad industry knowledge, especially within the office furniture sector.
- A natural team player with exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
