About the Job
Purpose:
Responsible for coordinating purchasing activity, outside supplier warehouses, and outsourced manufacturing on a daily basis, as well as planning for raw materials to be ordered, replenished, delivered, and maintained at supplier locations. Individual will supervise the inventory accuracy of Arcade owned materials held at outside warehouses and be responsible for the reconciliation of the inventory held and used in suppliers' locations/facilities.
Responsibilities:
Manage and process raw material purchase orders for commodity items assigned.
Manage and plan raw material inventory for materials held at supplier locations to support demand for customer orders.
Manage all aspects for obtaining outsourced finished goods: planning of materials, purchase orders, deliveries, etc.
Participate, coordinate, and (where needed) conduct inventory reconciliation for outside warehouse locations holding Arcade-owned inventory.
When requested, represent and/or supplement Purchasing Management for Arcade strategic initiatives.
Manage inventory for label material and sheet-fed paper supplied to outside printers and films for Polykote.
As requested by or in the absence of Sr. Manager of Purchasing, assume a leadership role within the Purchasing department for issues, questions, projects, etc.
Assist with the implementation and optimization of applications/processes/procedures associated with strategic raw material purchase planning initiatives.
Reconcile inventories (internal and outside storage locations) for month-end closing and year-end closing as requested by Finance and/or management.
Communicate proactively with Production Planning to ensure the on-time delivery of needed materials as well as ensuring materials are available to support production schedule.
Knowledge & Qualification:
Minimum of Associates Degree in business administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or similar focus.
Minimum three 3+ years previous purchasing, inventory control, and/or warehouse supervision experience in manufacturing environment.
Purchasing exp within Packaging (componentry, i.e., tubes, bottles, etc.)
Indirect purchasing is not needed for this role .
Previous experience managing outside inventory with vendors.
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and have computer skills necessary to input all data into Monarch project system.
Familiarity ISO and FDA policies and regulations preferred.
Flexible for about 10% travel to vendor locations.
