Primary Job Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Produces effective process designs using standard engineering and manufacturing techniques in a timely manner.
- Prepares complete multiple solutions to satisfy design requirements.
- Effectively leads a project team of junior engineers, process engineers, outside contractors, vendors, manufacturing, safety, procurement, logistics, and assembly personnel.
- Provides timely coaching to junior engineers and project managers.
- Specifies accurate and complete dimensions, materials, and procedures for new projects.
- Proactively collaborates with other Designers, Drafters, and Engineers to ensure effective design effort is maintained.
- Completes project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Reviews drawings for completeness and accuracy in a timely manner.
- Ensures engineering drawings are compliant with cited specifications.
- Provides timely technical assistance and solutions to the team.
- Proactively participates in project meetings and conference calls as required.
- Prepares accurate and complete engineering documents for customer submittal.
- Proactively collaborates with sales to develop concepts for projects.
- Proactively collaborates with customers, assembly team, vendors, and contractors per project.

- Has intermediate knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
- Knowledge of industry-specific processes, automated hardware, or computer applications.
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
Education/Experience:
Two-year or four-year degree program in Engineering or comparable.
5 to 10 years of experience working in an engineering environment.
Certificates and Licenses: PE and/or other relevant credentials are a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is sitting for most of the day using a computer. The employee is required to talk and hear. This position often uses various measuring devices i.e., calipers, scales, etc. Occasionally uses milling machine, lathes, shears, drill press and routers. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
