Short Description
Sr. Principal Business Analyst - Advanced Planning
Job Description
This role owns the management and support of our advanced planning systems (Kinaxis RapidResponse) and its integrations. You work very closely with other members of the enterprise applications team, who own applications/components that interface with our advanced planning system and/or support infrastructure components and middleware. You will also work very closely with the SCM business team who owns the conceptual setup and use of the planning model as well as all master data, execution of the planning processes and business outcomes.
Whether working on smaller changes or projects with consultants, you will be handling the advanced planning development and test and production systems, collaborate with the business owners on functional specs for such work, facilitate the creation of technical specs, oversee and contribute to the actual development and documentation effort as well as facilitating user signoff and successful go-live by migrating changes in a controlled manner to the production environment.
This role will at times help manage contractors/consultants to do specific work packages as documented and agreed. There might be other related tasks as assigned within the eco system of the Advanced Planning environment such as data analysis and business support.
You should expect to work with:
• Kinaxis SAAS solution specifically Master Production Scheduling, Constraints, Order Management, and Inventory Optimization modules.
• SQL Server Management Studio and all the tools contained within it.
• SQL Server Integration Services
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop/improve/support the solutions to model the different business situations in Kinaxis
• Data interfaces between different source systems and SQL Database Server and Kinaxis Server.
• Build scripts/workbooks/alerts etc. in Kinaxis application to support various business needs.
Skills & Experience:
• Proficiency in SQL with a solid understanding of relational databases
• Working knowledge of ETLs, stored procedures
• Kinaxis Authoring experience
• Kinaxis Modeling experience
• Kinaxis Administration experience
• Exceptional technical writing skills
• Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset
• Experience in semiconductor industry is a strong plus
• High level understanding of SAP MM/PP modules is preferred.
• Experience working within the Microsoft SQL server is a plus
Requirements:
• BS in Computer Science or related field is required. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in supporting enterprise or engineering applications
• 2-3 years of experience supporting Advanced Supply Chain Planning systems
• Experience working with Kinaxis is a must.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $126,500 - $241,700 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
