Sr Piping Engineer
100% Remote

System One is seeking a Piping Material Engineer in Downers Grove, IL to support one of our key Refining and Petrochemical Industry Clients with the preparation of pipe material and manual valve specifications.

Important Details:

Short-term contract with possibility of conversion to a permanent role
100% remote
Starting hourly pay: $53.61 (Can increase with experience)
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
Work schedule: Monday through Friday, standard business hours
Weekly pay

401k after 30 days
Job offer will be contingent on drug screen and background check

Responsibilities:

Prepare ASME B31.3 piping material specifications specifying materials to be used as well as piping components for given service conditions.
Perform and check ASME B31.3 pipe code wall thickness calculations.
Prepare manual valve specifications.
Attend Client, Vendor, and Internal Team meetings.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of piping material and manual valve experience working in the Refining, Petrochemical or Chemical Industry.
Good Communication Skills (Active Listening, Verbal, and Written)
Highly motivated self-starter with ability to work in an interactive and open team environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Must be organized, self-directed, able to prioritize and multi-task, work in a team environment and take direction from others.
