What it's like to be a Sr. Paralegal at SEABROOK LAW OFFICES
As a new Sr. Paralegal at Seabrook Law Offices in San Jose, you'll dive into an exciting role that entails supporting attorneys in Family Law and Complex litigation cases. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, managing case files, and assisting in trial preparation.

What you need to be successful
To excel as a Sr. Paralegal at Seabrook Law Offices in San Jose, you must possess a set of essential skills and qualifications. These include showcasing a high level of confidentiality, demonstrating excellent legal drafting and research abilities, and exhibiting strong written and oral communication skills specific to the legal field.

Candidates must meet one of the following education or experience requirements: completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program, a degree from an accredited institution in law-related courses, or a high school diploma with substantial law-related experience under a qualified attorney.
A preference for Paralegal certification and a minimum of seven years of experience in Family Law, including five years in high net-worth family law proceedings, are required. Familiarity with Santa Clara or Alameda County courts is preferred.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- Excellent legal drafting and research skills
- Excellent legal written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational time-management and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- One of the following is required:
- A certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association OR
- A degree from a postsecondary institution that requires the successful completion of a minimum of 24 semester or equivalent units in law-related courses and that has been accredited by a national or regional accrediting organization or approved by the Bureau for Private Postsecondary and Vocational Education OR
- A high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, a minimum of three years of law-related experience under the supervision of an attorney who has been an active member of the State Bar of California for at least the preceding three years for at least three years prior to 2003.
- Paralegal certification preferred;
- Minimum of seven (7) or more years of experience in family law required;
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in high net-worth family law proceedings required
- Familiar with the courts in one of the following counties preferred: Santa Clara or Alameda
- Must be fluent in Spanish
