A bit about us:We are a small, growing firm in the Public Accounting industry hiring for either a Senior OR Staff Accountant for $55-85k annually. We offer excellent work/life balance and rarely work north of 40 hour weeks. We are untraditional in the sense that we work with clients where their fiscal year-end is in June, and work with many customers from individual, businesses, partnerships, etc.
Our ideal candidate will have 1-5 years of public accounting experience and experience in performing financial audits.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Staff Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in Public Accounting, Financial Reporting, Month End Close, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Individual Tax, and Corporate Tax. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health and success of our company by ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a minimum of 1+ years of experience in the field.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:
- Managing and overseeing all aspects of our accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Month End Close.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports and statements, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and laws.
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of financial data to assist in decision-making processes.
- Handling both individual and corporate tax preparations and filings, ensuring all tax obligations are met in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborating with the finance team to review and improve current accounting systems and procedures.
- Assisting with the development and implementation of internal financial controls and procedures.
- Participating in financial audits and working closely with auditors to ensure the process runs smoothly.
- Providing guidance and training to junior staff members as required.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 1+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a focus on Public Accounting, Financial Reporting, Month End Close, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Individual Tax, and Corporate Tax.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting and their application.
- Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
