Rate Range: $65-$70/Hr
Job Description:
- Provide technical support of Middleware technologies by performing tasks, including installing and configuring new environments (development, QA, and production).
- Promote, deploy, and troubleshoot new code.
- Install and configure with minimal supervision Middleware products such as WebLogic Server, OAS, OBIEE 11g/12c, Oracle Data Integrator 11g/12c, and Oracle BI Publisher 11g
- Perform configuration-, release-, and change management activities as required by the Enterprise packaged solutions.
- Install and maintain the Enterprise packaged solutions in production and non-production environments.
- Install patches and upgrades for BI applications.
- Plan and execute implementations of large BI-related projects
- Configure and administer the application, including user provisioning and maintenance.
- Monitor status and activity of Enterprise packaged solutions, generate and review product logs, and support and define report creation and execution.
- Provide guidance regarding troubleshooting issues with end users, technical staff, and/or vendors to arrive at prompt solutions for critical problems. Understand the affects the introduction of new system functionality will have on the solution and take appropriate action to ensure service level agreements (“SLAs”) are met.
- Provide technical implementation expertise and support in the maintenance and tuning of OBIEE and OAS environment. Install, configure, and manage OAS, OBIEE and ODI environments, including reports and dashboards.
- Administer BI applications, security, and repository maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve support issues in a timely manner as defined in SLAs. Facilitate and implement infrastructure and application changes following all established process and procedures.
- Set up environments for new projects with subject areas, folders, security, and Active Directory groups within the OBIEE and OAS environments
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch ETL, ODI, DAC, BI server, and BI deployment platform.
- Participate in requirements definition studies, develop workflows of current and proposed system operations, collect and organize pertinent system documentation, and develop system documentation.
- Assist with development of implementation plans.
- Lead post-implementation reviews.
- Provide status and activity reports; report progress of assignments that may affect the project’s outcome.
- Identify and resolve problems with production application systems.
- Lead complex and high impact projects, including planning, execution, and completion.
- Build and successfully integrate with minimal supervision complex, multi-BI Environments.
- Ensure optimal performance through exhaustive pre-service testing and ongoing real-time monitoring.
- Maintain security and enterprise policy guidelines according to best practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical discipline required
- Between 8 to 10 years as an Oracle Systems Administrator in an enterprise environment preferred
- Functional knowledge of OBIEE and ODI required
- At least 5 years’ experience administering OBIEE/BI environments required.
- At least 3 years’ experience administering ODI environments required
- Linux experience required
- Strong technical knowledge of OBIEE admin/metadata tools and security required
- Experience installing and configuring OBIEE 11g, OAS ODI 11g/12c, DAC, and Informatica required
- Experience performance tuning in OBIEE and gathering performance metrics for various measures in reports required.
- Experience with OBIEE,OAS and ODI admin tool, web catalog, and RPD required.
- Experience with migration techniques for OBIEE components into various test and production environments required.
- Experience troubleshooting issues on server and presentation side required.
- Knowledge of standard system development lifecycle concepts required.
- Strong Oracle database skills required
- Working knowledge of Informatica repository and migration of custom repository objects required
