About the Job
Under limited supervision, oversees the installation, configuration, and support to all network systems including but not limited to a legacy local area network, wide area network, Azure cloud network, internet system, servers, desktops computers and mobile devices. Makes recommendations for equipment improvement or replacement. Serves as an advanced-level subject matter expert for security practices and policies throughout the organization.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Monitor corporate networks, web sites, security portals
- Install and configure software, hardware, and networks
- Monitor network performance including switches, routers, and related services (DHCP, RADIUS, DNS, VPN, Wi-Fi) and troubleshoot issues
- Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory, VMWare, Hyper-V
- Configure and maintain virtual servers
- Ensure security and efficiency of all IT infrastructure using industry best practices including ZTA, SSO, MFA/2FA, password-less authentication, etc.
- Configure and monitor Advanced Threat Protection services
- Maintain onsite and offsite system backups
- Review backup logs, develop and maintain backup procedures, restore data and configurations
- Document recovery plans and perform annual test exercises
- Upgrade systems/network with new releases and models as needed
- Network design and capacity planning
- Perform risks and security audits annually
- Update and maintain network diagrams and document all systems administration configuration processes and installation procedures
- Keep up to date on industry standards and the latest IT trends and tools that would benefit the company and team
- Plan and execute cyber security training campaigns to keep end users informed and engaged on latest security principles
- Manages Help Desk support team to cover:
- Inventory and asset management
- Helpdesk support for in-office, local and remote users.
- Set up end user accounts and workstations (Azure AD, Office 365 etc.)
- Monitor and manage licensing requirements (OS and applications)
Education/Experience
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university or equivalent 8-10 years of related experience
- Certifications: Network+, Security+, Microsoft Windows Server/Clients
- Azure administration certification (MCA/AZ-104)
- Firewall and Security (Sophos or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a System Administrator including but limited to:
- Expertise with on premise and Azure Active directory.
- Office 365 suite of applications
- Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
- Expertise in Microsoft operating software (workstations and servers)
- Experience with Microsoft Flow/Power Automate, PowerShell Scripting, other Automation tools
- Expertise in IIS and Proxy
- Experience in transitioning to and leveraging cloud environments
- Expertise in Windows Servers, VMWare, Hyper-V, server clustering, Storage space direct/Azure stack HCI.
- Expertise in networking (Dell Switches, VPN, LAN/VLAN, WAN, NAT etc.) set-up and management, TCP/IP protocol stack, routing and switching etc.
- Expertise in firewall and security (Sophos, NgFw firewall)

- Disaster recovery set-up experience
- Domo, Tableau, Power BI or other similar reporting tools
- Zoom and TeamViewer
- Unix OS, SQL or MySQL databases

- Microsoft Office suite including Visio
