As the Sr Network Security Architect, you will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing and operating enterprise infrastructure for clients.  You will have the opportunity to work within an industry-leading account team, supporting a key focus area to craft sustainable IT roadmaps for the ePlus customer base.

YOUR IMPACT

The essential functions of this position include:

• Implement network and security solutions from providers such as Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet
• Create as-built documentation and diagrams.
• Be available as a pre-sales resource for sales team members, as necessary.
• Serve as an escalation point for other Engineers.
• Troubleshoot complex technology issues.
• Assess customer environment and make recommendations on solutions and improvements.
• Meet with key vendors to stay current on products and technologies.
• Maintain multiple advanced manufacturer specific advanced certifications. i.e.: CCNP Security, PCNSE, NSE, etc.
• Serve each and every customer to ePlus’ standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10 or more years of experience in designing and implementing secure network architectures
• Past experience in a consultative role preferred
• Certifications in applicable technology preferred
• College degree or applicable work experience a plus
• Excellent customer service skills on phone and in-person
• Professional demeanor with customer service focus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with numerous daily demands for your time

Core technology knowledge – must be comfortably conversant in multiple of the following areas:  

• IP networking
• Security fundamentals
• Wireless architecture 
• Next-Generation Firewall architecture and implementation
• RADIUS server configuration and troubleshooting
• Network Access Control design and implementation
• Software-Defined Access architectures
• Data center and access layer segmentation design
• Network automation/orchestration
• Disaster Recovery planning
• Intrusion Prevention System implementation/tuning
• Endpoint security solutions

Specialized knowledge (subject matter expert) in at least three (3) of the following areas:  

• Network/security infrastructure – Cisco, Palo Alto, Juniper, CheckPoint, Fortinet, F5
• Application security – F5, Imperva, Splunk
• Identity/access control – Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, Forescout, ZScaler, Cyxtera
• Network segmentation and policy control – Cisco ACI, VMware NSX
• Data protection – Symantec, Varonis
• Endpoint protection – Cisco AMP, Palo Alto Traps, Cylance, CarbonBlack,
• DNS/email – Cisco Umbrella/ESA/WSA, Proofpoint, Mimecast, FortiMail

Greatly Preferred Experience:

• SASE (Secure Access Service Edge)

POSITION SPECIFICS

The base salary range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $150,000 and $190,000 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions and discretionary bonuses, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
