Salary: $87,807 - $102,560.40

Position Summary:
Performs professional work in network planning, redesign and engineering of the organization's enterprise network. Responsible for administration of the Telecommunications system, internet accessibility, business critical applications and processes
Performs duties in alignment with the 2019 - 2024 COTA Strategic Plan and in support of the organization's vision To Move Every Life Forward.
This Position is Responsible For:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the Internet & its workings (DNS, Security, IP Routing, HTTP, VPN, Email Routing, SPAM, etc.)
- Configure & setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators & Security appliances for access to vital business applications
- Configure, build, maintain & troubleshoot network components & subsystems including, but not limited to, network core devices, routers, switches, firewalls & virtual switching devices
- Expertise in firewall technologies & experience with planning & executing firewall migrations, configuring firewall policies & troubleshooting issues
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Local Area Networking; troubleshoot & support user connectivity, equipment & LAN/WAN network issues
- Configure & install client & server network software for upgrading & maintaining network & telecommunication systems
- Maintain multi-site network operations & software applications, operating systems & regular maintenance with both private & public facilities
- Maintain & engineer COTAs remote networks including site-to-site implementations (fixed fleet & mobility fleet) connectivity operations
- Provide availability to 24/7 on-call rotation as referenced in the IT Department on-call procedure
At Minimum You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
- Six (6) years work experience with various levels of CISCO networking hardware in a Microsoft Windows based environment, supporting a 24/7 production environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Cisco Data Center certification
- Cisco Routing & Switching certification
- Cisco Voice certification
- CCIE certification
- CCNP or CCNA certification preferred
- Experience in public transit administration preferred
