Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to join our outstanding manufacturing and facilities team in Grand Island N.Y. USA. This position will have the opportunity for installing, maintaining, and fixing innovative process equipment. The Senior Manufacturing Technician will perform various operations using specialized equipment ranging from manual to automated process steps. This role requires a high level of attention to detail with safety, quality, and other production standards in mind to contribute to the sites overall success.
Responsibilities:
Shift: 1st: 7:00am-3:30PM Sunday-Thursday
- Conduct system testing and debugging to ensure proper functionality and alignment to design specifications.
- Troubleshoot control systems, identify faults, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to design and implement control system modifications or improvements.
- Perform preventive maintenance on control systems and process equipment, including calibrations and hardware updates and software updates as needed.
- Provide technical support to end users, assisting with system training, fixing, and resolving operational issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams, including operations, facilities, and engineering to optimize system integration and performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade or Technical school diploma or equivalent.
- Associate Degree preferred in Electro-Mechanical Technology.
Experience:
- Required: Minimum of 2 years work experience as a cGMP maintenance technician in pharmaceutical or food industry manufacturing environment.
- 3 plus years with mechanical and electro-mechanical competence.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in New York is $25.58-$32.73.
