Sr. Mechanical Engineer – Chassis and Suspension

WET is looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join the WET Product Design Team!

Objective:

Work in an existing engineering team to help design unique suspension and isolation solutions and other chassis related components for specialty vehicles.

While contributing to the mechanical design of WET’s products, you will work closely with many cross-functional teams, including visual design, industrial design, electrical hardware engineering, manufacturing engineering, tooling, and operations.

This role offers a great opportunity to develop through rapid iteration, concurrent engineering, on-site production, testing, and assembly. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design of custom shock absorption and isolation systems
• Design of chassis related structural systems
• DFM of Components / Production Drawings
• Development, Testing and Evaluation of Designs
• Experiment with Active stabilization using hydraulics and electro-mechanics

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline
• 7+ years of experience with theory and design of Automotive chassis, suspension, dampening and/or stabilization systems
• SolidWorks mastery
• SolidWorks FEA, Buckling and Fatigue Simulations
• Modal Structural Analysis
