Title: Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Reports to: Director of Engineering
Purpose: Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering designs within area of assigned responsibility. The Salary for this position is $90,000-$105,000. We take a more balanced approach, our Engineers rarely work more than 40 hours per week, and there is little to no travel involved.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Responsibilities:
- Drive equipment design and developmental activities from initial concept through production.
- Coordinate all activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling and resolving engineering design and test problems.
- Directs integration of technical activities and products.
- Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Controls expenses within limitations of project budget, suggesting and implementing cost-saving methods or improvements.
- Collaborates with cross-functional partners to ensure product is developed on time and on budget.
- Handle multiple projects depending on size and schedules as allocated by Director of Engineering.
- Review product design and technical plans for compliance with engineering principles, company standards and customer contract requirements.
- Revise drawings for the spare parts department.
- Maintain thorough and meticulous documentation on all engineering drawings and specifications.
- Establish and maintain a clean, safe and healthy work environment.
- Keep management apprised of current situations, problems or potential issues and future market and product ideas to aid in company growth.
Job Support
- Collaborates with Sales, Engineering and Production departments to answer questions, coordinate projects and troubleshoot problems that arise.
- Assists factory employees and supervisors with line and tool testing.
- Interacts with vendors to answer questions and coordinate deliveries.
- Supports Spare Parts department regarding questions and customer inquiries.
- Assists Sales department with new quotation information and customer inquiries.
- Occasional travel to customer facilities for start-up or trouble-shooting.

- Minimum ten years experience.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of machine design.
- Able to work independently, while also having the ability to work through others
- Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- The minimum education required is a 4-year degree from a college or university, preferred Mechanical Engineering degree.
- PC skills (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
- AutoCad and 3D design software.
- Strong Verbal / Written skills
