Sr Mechanical Engineer - Medical Device - Neurolutions, Inc.

About the Job
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform mechanical engineering efforts for existing medical device products and new product development.
- Act as a high-performing individual contributor who can be given ownership of high-level tasks
- Lead efforts to detect, analyze and fix hardware design issues
- Participate in design reviews with focus on DFM and DFR
- Provide expert review and oversight of subcontract design work
- Oversee activities of Engineering Techs
- Work together closely with the manufacturing team to prevent downtime, reduce COGS, and reduce time to build
- Follow the design process, defined in the Quality Management System (QMS)
- Hybrid position with several days/week on-site, but some remote work allowed
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar and experience across product development and product maintenance: minimum of BS 10 years experience, MS 8 years, PhD 6 years.
- 5 years experience working on medical devices including familiarity with IEC 60601 and ISO 13485
- Experience with orthotics and/or exoskeletons
- Design of devices used by consumers
- Design of devices used by elderly or with physical limitations
