Job Summary
The Senior Mechanical Engineer I-Robotics will be responsible for engineering of material handling systems, with a focus on mechanical design aspects of robotic and advanced automation solutions . Daifuku provided solutions require a cohesive team effort inclusive of various disciplines such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, controls, software, and project management.
As part of the Robotics Team, Robotics Mechanical Engineers will develop and implement designed solutions that satisfy customer requirement for safety, functionality, reliability, throughput, and expense. Efforts will include leading small to medium projects and directing/assigning work to project team members. Performance of project duties with a decreasing level of direct supervision is expected.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant Engineering Majors
- Minimum of 4-8 years of related experience
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation safety design standards and practices
- Strong knowledge of the material handling business and ability to assist across teams and divisions
- Ability to interface effectively with internal and external customers, vendors, consulting engineers, architects, and installers
- Ability to lead a team and accomplish project goals effectively
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented
- Ability to learn new technology
- Good time management and planning skills
