THE CORE OF THE POSITION
The Sr. Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the assembly of mechatronic / robotic devices, water-shooters, fire-shooters, server control panels, cables, audio speakers and power supplies.
The task requires both electrical and mechanical assembly skills. In short, the mechanical line will build up the assembly, test it, and prepare it to be shipped to the final destination where the magic comes together.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stage, set up, assemble, test and install hardware and prepare cables for assembly
- Use precision calibrated tools – torque wrenches, cable crimpers and splicers, and drivers
- Hands-on operations with both large and small assemblies
- Read, understand, and interpret drawings and schematics
- Perform work according to procedures, specifications, and test instructions
- Use various mechanical tools with basic instructions
- Collaborate with production engineers to develop and document activities
- Ensure all production services are performed on time, safely and in a professional manner
- Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
EDUCATION, TRAINING ANS SKILLS:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 5+ solid years of mechanical assembly experience specific to hydraulic and pneumatic devices
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated ability in reading/understanding technical engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures
- Excel in a fast pace production/assembly environment
- Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift at least 50+ lbs
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed
