Are you passionate about manufacturing processes, quality control, and continuous improvement? Are you a problem-solver with a knack for streamlining production processes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is central to the successful execution of our manufacturing goals and strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and maintaining our manufacturing processes and workflows. This role is a permanent position and offers a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and a highly skilled team.
Responsibilities:
As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
1. Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, utilizing knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
2. Analyze manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput.
3. Utilize Value Stream Mapping techniques to identify and eliminate waste in the production process.
4. Apply Six Sigma methodologies to enhance manufacturing processes and improve product quality.
5. Use SolidWorks to create detailed designs and technical drawings for manufacturing equipment and processes.
6. Collaborate with design engineers to optimize product design for manufacturability.
7. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams in the implementation of process improvements and problem-solving efforts.
8. Provide technical leadership and support to the manufacturing team, including troubleshooting of production issues and training of production staff.
9. Ensure all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times.
10. Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing issues to ensure high quality of the product.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
3. Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
4. Strong knowledge of Value Stream Mapping and Six Sigma methodologies.
5. Proven track record of successfully implementing process improvements in a manufacturing environment.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate with staff at all levels.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
9. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and other performance improvement methodologies is a plus.
10. Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt is preferred.
