Job Summary:
Our Learning & Enablement team is seeking an exceptional Sr. Manager of Education and Certification program to join our Services Team with a robust technical background, who can collaborate both independently and closely with content developers and subject matter experts to design and produce a diverse range of learning experiences.
The Sr. Manager of Technical Training and Learning is responsible for leading the development and implementation of a comprehensive technical training and learning program for the organization. This includes identifying and assessing training needs, developing and delivering training courses, and measuring the effectiveness of training programs. This program will be focused on training internal technical teams , Customers, OEM partners and System Integrator partners
The successful candidate will engage in intricate projects spanning our entire product portfolio, addressing scenarios where a comprehensive assessment of diverse factors is essential. This individual will actively connect with key partners beyond their specialized domain, showcasing proficiency in instructional design and learning development principles. They will also bring expertise in field enterprise engineering, servicing enterprise servers, switches, and software. Understanding of x86 server platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Build a university with certification program focused on Supermicro products
• Create solutions that will enable our field engineers to not just depend on training memory but depends on notes or step by step process to enable successful on site field engineering engagement
• Design, develop and maintain technical training content and curricula serving the learning needs of the Supermicro product users, both internal and external
• Translate complex technical concepts into effective learning solutions using your technical expertise
• Collaborate with engineering, product management, and cross-functional teams to align training with product launches
• Deliver alpha, beta, and 'train-the-trainer' training worldwide for internal and external audiences as needed
• Ensure high quality of training content by performing ongoing testing, troubleshooting, and updating of training content, demonstrations, hands on labs and assessments
• Create student, instructor led, digital and lab guides for diverse learner groups
• Adapt to rapid innovation by promptly revising content while meeting deadlines
• Engage with courseware-related forum postings and postings of new courseware
• Demonstrate agility in learning and implementing various networking, security, and cloud technologies
• Collaborate with the digital learning team to create online content
• Contribute effectively to cross-functional projects
• Stay current on the Supermicro products
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Training and Development or related field or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical curriculum development
• A minimum of 12 years managing and directing training organization at a global scale
• Proven track record in creating curriculum, including comprehensive course planning, and the ability to seamlessly develop instructional content and assessments that align with various learning objectives
• Understanding of x86 server platforms
• E-learning delivery experience to include methods such as webinars, distance learning, and virtual training.
• Ability to provide high level customer service skill
• Strong communication skill in English for verbal and written
• Experiences in a large data centers, familiar with Enterprise Servers, Switches, and Enterprise Infrastructures. Certification in CCNA, MCSE, Linux Administrator, VMware/VMs other, and/or certification in Clustered environment is a plus.
• Full professional proficiency in English. Bilingual in any language is a plus
• Currently works for a systems integrator, consultancy, or major technology organization in the area of selling Services
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills; with the ability to structure and facilitate training and certification to help develop business cases for large deals
• Actual multi-regional or multi-organization experience is a key success factor, with demonstrated capacity to operate and thrive in a multi-cultural environment.
• Clustered environments a plus. Understanding of Enterprise Data storage a plus.
• Knowledge of adult learning, blended learning techniques, and training development principles
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Ability to quickly build rapport with people via a collaborative approach
• Passionate about coaching and developing others
Salary Range
$137,000 - $148,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
