About the Role
As a key member of AESC US LLC, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to lead in full-value-chain battery solutions for a sustainable future. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will be responsible for providing leadership to the Maintenance department. The ideal candidate will partner with the management on key initiatives and will develop, implement, and manage various projects and programs in support of overall business effectiveness.
Your work within the Maintenance Team will directly impact our strategic goals and contribute to our position as a global leader in battery technology.
What You Will Do
- Develop, train, and audit maintenance management activities to ensure standardization, efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Manage and provide leadership, coaching, guidance, training and staff development; interview and select unit employees; plan and evaluate employee performance; recommend merit increases, transfers and promotions; counsel and discipline employees as necessary; recommend termination when appropriate; and monitor time and attendance of subordinates.
- Develop standardized KPI metrics for continuous improvement throughout all levels of the maintenance organization.
- Support Global benchmarking activities for technical and management improvements.
- Oversee technical training requirements and development. Assist in developing budgets and project details.
- Support training for new equipment installations, maintainability, and continuous improvement.
- Review and approve expense reports, P-card purchases and participate in the selection of potential vendors to assist in various maintenance-related activities.
- Develop project schedules and provide project coordination for equipment specification, training, shipping, installation, debug, and program launch.
- Monitor safety performance and facilitate implementation of actions to improve safety performance. Proactive in identifying and addressing safety concerns before an accident occurs.
- Manage contract service groups consisting of technical and maintenance management training. Ensure control of cost and quality of service.
- Manage safety performance, develop capital expenditure justifications, participate in daily, weekly, and monthly OEE meetings and institute countermeasures to the top technical issues.
- Conduct staff meetings and positively lead the team to achieve all KPI goals and implement the continuous improvement mindset.
- Lead the team to achieve the Systematic Cause Analysis Technique (SCQT) metrics and support AESC's goals/objectives.

What You Need
- Minimum of 10 years of comprehensive professional experience in a similar function.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related discipline or technical field.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with staff in all departments.
- Experience working and leading a team across cultural and discipline boundaries.
- Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development and execution of key initiatives, demonstrating an innovative mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Experience or willingness to work in a global context, with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with operating in diverse international markets.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced and evolving environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet changing business needs and priorities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint) to produce non-standard, creative products.
- Proficiency with conferencing system (Microsoft Teams).
- Understands and follows all standards of IATF16949 and VDA 6.3 quality standards.
- Understands and follows all standards of ISO14001 environmental standards.

- Knowledge of battery manufacturing, EV manufacturing, or refinery operations
