Overview
Synaptics is looking for a Sr. Manager, Global Workplace Resources to join our dynamic and growing organization. You will be responsible for Synaptics the San Jose and Irvine office facilities day-to-day management and work with the GWR team to maintain a comfortable working environment through cost-effective solutions. This position reports to the Sr. Director, Global Workplace Resources.
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $130,000 - $204,600 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Responsibilities & Competencies
Job Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive facility management strategies that align with the organizations’ objectives
- Manage San Jose, Irvine, and Atlanta facilities teams, ensuring a consistently high level of service
- Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including ensuring that electrical, lighting, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical systems, and physical security are operational 24/7, and that the cafe vendor delivers high-quality services in a cost effective manner
- Champion sustainability initiatives within facility management, driving efforts to reduce the Synaptics environmental footprint
- Ensure all facilities comply with relevant regulations, codes, and standards including Health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Maintain the ISO14001 system and ensure all associated programs are properly implemented
- Select service providers and vendors who can support Synaptics’ goals prioritizing integrity and cost effectiveness
- Maintain facility key performance indicators and data and provide recommendations for improvement activities

Qualifications (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 12 years of facilities experience in a large, multi-site, global corporate environment including 5 years facilities management experience and 4 years leading teams
- Experience preparing and managing operational budgets
- Experience of delivering results in a high-growth, dynamic business environment
- This role is 100% onsite and may require after hours response for unexpected emergencies
- Minimal travel up to 10% required including quarterly visits to other sites supported and as needed for emergencies
