Salary - $160,000 to $180,000

Location - **The role is a San Francisco-based, at headquarters. You are local or willing to relocate to the Bay Area.**
The Opportunity
We are seeking a Sr. Manager for Paid Search Analytics to inspire and lead a team of whip-smart, inventive analysts who are unlocking opportunities to break into new ground at scale. You will be an integral part of a high functioning collaborative of portfolio managers, innovation specialists, data warehouse engineers and data scientists supporting our SEM program. The role reports to the Director of Marketing Analytics.
You will combine outstanding business insight and interpersonal skills with excellent quant skills, and particular experience applying experimental design, sampling and statistical inference to optimize paid search marketing. You will manage the measurement practice with a thirst for continual process improvement, agile data asset development, and consistent reporting. This role will be pivotal crafting and achieving our global growth strategy in 2018 and beyond, through establishing frameworks and a track record for measuring incremental impact.
You Will
Work side-by-side daily with the SEM team, advise on optimization strategy, accurately sizing opportunities, and seeking improved methods and processes for assessing the value of ad copy, bidding algos, keyword selection, landing page optimization, scripted optimizations, all aspects of timing
Lead by example to build a culture of accountability and rigor to substantiate proven business impact.
Lead the development of effective measurement practices, including Client test designs that ensure incremental takeaways and modern sampling procedures to streamline results generation.
Manage the buildout of performance reporting dashboards that scales with our growing global business. Work through tagging and data integrity issues with cross-functional partners in Engineering and Channel teams.
Bring clarity to critical metrics, performance drivers, and competitive trends.
Advise in areas of forecasting, budgeting, and goal setting.
You Have
Extensive experience in SEM Marketing Analytics tools; fluent in the tools unique to that discipline: Doubleclick, Adwords, Bing Ads, Omniture, Google Analytics
Fluency in web analytics and pixel implementations.
SQL and Hive fluency
Proficiency with at least one statistical package, or the Python libraries commonly used in data science
Demonstrably strong communication skills: truly knows what it means to assemble a story from data and can easily explain how and demonstrate it. Strong listening skills as well as the skills to persuade particularly based on evidence
Thorough experience designing and analyzing experiments in a variety of circumstances, including eCommerce
Strong team leadership skills with a strong emphasis on teamwork, initiative and integrity
Basic Qualifications
8+ years in performance marketing analytics roles.
At least 5 of those years in SEM analytics.
Deep understanding of paid search optimization and market dynamics driving cost and returns
BS/BA degree in a quantitative discipline, e.g., Math, Statistics, Physics, Operations Research, Economics, CS, etc., from a premier school. Strong preference for applicants with advanced degrees in the same disciplines.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are not looking for someone to manage the strategy and relying on others to do the data analytics. We need a Senior Manager to support the strategy and head the implementations of the paid search, testing the effectiveness, testing and technical, reporting side of paid search putting into practice minding data in our EDW. He/she will have 2 immediate reports who are Paid Search Analysts, but that number will mostly increase and we are looking at this individual to take on more elements of Marketing such as Affiliates and other pieces so we need someone who can grow and scale in this role. So the deeper level of analytics
We are also looking for folks with a Masters degree in Math, Statistics, Physics, Operations Research, Economics, or Comp Science.
They MUST, MUST, MUST be proficient in SQL. ¿
