Job Description:
- The Senior Manager, Global Enterprise Applications, is a key leadership role within Cascade's internationally operating Information Technology group.
- This position actively drives Cascade's digital transformation on the application side while providing reliable service levels in day-to-day operations to support current legacy applications.
- This role serves as part of Cascade's global I.T. leadership team, with a focus on defining, building, implementing and continuously improving Cascade's enterprise application ecosystem (focus ERP, CRM and cross-domain components such as BI, Integration with touchpoints into PDM/PLM, MES, HRIS).
- This includes management of a solution architecture practice, as well as governance for DevOps to enable pro-code and citizen development.
- The position has budget - and internal and external staff - responsibilities.
- The position holder works with business leaders on various levels, key - and end user communities, other I.T. departments, and a variety of external I.T. partners and service providers.

- Define and implement Enterprise Application strategy in alignment with the overall IT and Business strategy, including roadmap and release management, and related project portfolio planning. This includes definition of standards and patterns and assurance of proper implementation to relevant Cascade business operations.
- Co-Chair Cascade's Solution Architecture Practice to facilitate major governance, design and operating decisions for key business models and related system architecture
- Leading mostly senior-level functional and technical staff (internal and external) that continually implement, innovate and evolve Cascade's enterprise application platforms
- Develop high performing IT teams, capabilities and strong relationships with business stakeholders.
- Vendor management: Introduce and manage long- and short-term implementation partners, managed services providers and other external subject matter experts aligned with the global IT staffing strategy. Partners are on- and offshore.
- In collaboration with other project managers, oversee project execution across a portfolio of projects ensuring effective execution, proactive handling of issues, and continual improvement in delivery
- Manage the department's budget and support financial planning of international locations related to enterprise applications
- Work with business stakeholders to define business cases, identify potential system prospects (incl. definition of selection criteria), select best-fit solutions and setup solid implementation plans. This includes consulting on, evaluation, selection, implementation, and operationalization of new solutions, as well as managing solution life cycles.
- Maintain procedures and reports that provide technical support to the entire organization
- Consult Cascade stakeholders on best-fit, innovative applications, and support the implementation of new solutions
- Participate in business-wide meetings to represent Enterprise Applications topics
- In collaboration with regional IT support groups, achieve operational excellence in supporting and running applications that achieve productive business outcomes. Provide enablement (e.g. training) for 1st level and key user level support of the application ecosystem.
- Manage Cascade's application life cycle, including new implementations, enhancements, upgrades and retirements
- Travel to other Cascade locations as needed
JOB SCOPE:
- This position serves as an international management function, reporting directly to the Vice President, Global Information Technology.
- The role requires a service orientation, business- and technology-acumen.
- The incumbent must be self-motivated with a desire to enable the organization to get access to business-relevant capabilities.
- Discretion and judgement are exercised routinely in the execution of job duties.
- Collaboration and communication are very critical to role with the ability to communicate with various audiences from technical to Executive level.
INTERPERSONAL CONTACTS:
- The position interacts with various business management functions, as well as the user communities across Cascade's international key locations.
- The Sr Manager, GDG Enterprise Applications interfaces on a regular basis with functional and technical application staff, other peers and employees of other IT groups, as well as various IT vendors and service providers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, master's degree/MBA preferred
- A minimum of fifteen years' experience in Enterprise Applications field with increasing responsibilities in management functions (projects, departmental)
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong business stakeholder management, people management, relationship building and consultative experience required

- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Experience with ERP ecosystems, (JDE, Oracle preferred)
- Experience with Microsoft technology (development, applications)
- Experience with integration patterns, including with SaaS solutions
- Experience in relevant business functional areas (Design to Deploy, Plan to Make, Procure to Pay, Experience to Deliver, Quote to Cash, Financial Management)
- Experience with departmental forecasting and budget management (OPEX, CAPEX, FINOPS)
- Experience with modern project management methodologies (full life cycle)
- Experience to manage a DevOps practice (Microsoft PowerPlatform)
- Understanding of SOX and other Management Controls
- Occasional domestic or overseas travel maybe required
Desired Skills:
- Experience in the industrial manufacturing industry or a comparable industry
- Experience managing a center of excellence with application focus and/or an architecture practice
- Experience with Managed Services (Application Support, ERP Hosting)
- Experience with Vendor Contracts (Project SOWs, SLAs), including offshore engagement models
- Experience with Application Management (Life Cycle, Release, Change/Continuous Improvements)
- Hands on experience with planning, implementing and running various version of JDE (, e.g. in a prior functional or technical role (functional consultant, developer, business analyst)
- Experience with implementing, operating and integration ERP with CRM, PLM, MES, Digital Marketing, e-Commerce Platforms, HRIS or other neighboring system domains
- Experience with setting up and managing a DevOps/ Custom Software Development practice

Salary
