Responsibilities:We currently have a great opportunity available for a Sr. Manager, Corporate Governance Operations. The Senior Manager of Corporate Governance Operations role, reporting to the SVP Governance and Legal, Corporate Secretary & General Counsel will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive corporate governance and communications strategies that align with Sysmex’s mission, vision, and strategic objectives. As a trusted strategic advisor to the CEO and entire Executive Team, this Sr. Manager will prioritize strategic efforts to communicate and support key corporate initiatives and actively contribute to strategic communication and legal processes for the region as a whole and for entities within the region. This position involves utilizing a variety of channels to deliver timely and impactful content to both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the enhancement and protection of Sysmex Americas regional corporate entity image. Key responsibilities include supporting key business and governance structure activities for the region, ensuring legal entity organization, developing the annual SAI corporate communications plan while ensuring corporate governance and other key project activities occur in support of the overall legal strategy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops and executes a corporate governance operations strategy including an
integrated corporate communications strategy that aligns with Sysmex’s mission and strategic priorities, ensuring clear messaging that fosters employee engagement, alignment with Sysmex values and execution across all platforms.
2. Serves as a trusted and strategic advisor to the CEO and the entire Executive Team, prioritizing governance initiatives and communication efforts against key business initiatives to enhance corporate governance visibility and alignment with corporate goals.
3. Manages the region’s public image across the Americas and globally, reducing legal risk, ensuring ethical brand reputation through proactive media relations, appropriate strategic messaging aligned with regulatory enforcement standards, and effective storytelling.
4. Collaborates throughout the organization to provide guidance for compliant associate activities including high-profile corporate events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, values, and customer or external messaging consistency.
5. Provides counsel for media relations, crisis communications, and reputation management to reduce legal risk and ensure alignment and preparedness.
6. Creates a robust annual corporate communications plan that utilizes data and analytics to measure impact, drive continuous improvement, and align with organizational priorities. Advises across the organization relevant concerns regarding regulatory enforcement and avoiding potential legal risks related to business initiatives outlined in potential and planned corporate communications.
7. Creates annual plans for Sysmex governance, legal strategy and litigation defense support development.
8. Monitors diverse mediums, including social media and digital platforms, to ensure ethical, legal and regulatory friendly dissemination of key messages engaging internal and external audiences.
9. Ensures strategic attention to Corporate Compliance and it projects, evaluating strategic communication content and harmonizing it with Sysmex policies and procedures as well as any applicable local and federal laws.
10. Additional Governance and Legal department projects and duties as assigned.
Travel Percentage: 5%
Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related discipline which may include experience in the Armed Forces
• Advanced degree in business, the law or a related discipline is preferred
• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as a leader in a corporate environment
• Experience in healthcare and in a role related to corporate governance is a plus
• Compliance certification is a plus
• License to practice law is a plus
• Unquestioned integrity and business ethics
• English required. Ability to speak/write/read Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Smartsheet is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Superior leadership, communication, and presentation skills
• Ability to inspire, lead, and develop a broad range talent and serve as trusted peer and counsel among stakeholders
• Pragmatic and strategic thinker
• Ability to distill complex legal, medical technology and industry terminology and information into concise, effective messaging

• Strong understanding of metrics, electronic tools, analytics, media platforms and implementation of those tools.
