The work schedule will either be 6am-3pm or 7am-4pm Monday to Friday.
SUMMARYThe primary purpose of the Sr. Maintenance Technician position is to monitor and evaluate all aspects of maintenance, repairs, planning, design and installation of all Parking & Transportation related systems and facilities, and ensure all Parking & Transportation maintenance and construction is completed timely, cost-effectively, and in accordance with federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Diagnose & Repair- Demonstrates technical proficiency to accomplish assigned work
- Must be able to troubleshoot and repair or replace parts that are defective on gate operators, ticket dispensers, payment machines, card access systems, intercoms, lighting, and cctv systems.
- Repair or replace parts in light fixtures with varying voltages in and on the exterior of the garages and surface lots.
- Submits maintenance trouble tickets with applicable agencies (T2, etc.)
- Monitors contractors performing work for Parking Operations to ensure the institution receives fair value for its expense.
- Performs all work within established applicable safety rules, regulations and guidelines.
Monitor & Inspect- Monitors each parking location daily, checking for operational functionality of all equipment and lighting; checks general appearance and calls for custiodal assistance as required.
- Inspects all equipment assets for proper functionality.
- Ensures preventative maintenance checks are accomplished in a timely manner.
- Inspects the work of contractors to ensure work was accomplished properly and in accordance with the scope of work.
Logistics & Administration
- Maintains assigned vehicles, equipment, tools and spare parts in good working condition.
- Maintains appropriate inventory of equipment, tools, spare parts, and supplies; keeps storage areas clean and in good working order.
- Monitors and updates work orders in appropriate Maintenance Management Systems
- Conducts annual inventory of equipment and other assets.
- Completes vehicle and equipment usage logs and reports.
- Completes required institutional and other classroom and web-based training as required.
- Assists parking staff with other duties and projects as needed.
Other duties as assigned
