DWT is looking for a Sr Maintenance Technician to join our team in Tustin, CA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of plant production machinery, support equipment, building, and other systems. The Sr. Maintenance Mechanic also assists with related upgrades, improvements, and assigned projects as required. OT on weekdays & weekends as needed.
Job Duties:
- Sustain preventative maintenance schedule. Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance of assigned plant equipment and troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains a variety of production machinery and equipment including but not limited to, CNC milling centers (Including HAAS and MORI), compressors, molding machines, welding equipment, chillers, filter, sealing machines, pumps and dispensing systems, etc. Follow applicable codes and regulations on work performed
- Troubleshoot and repair of rolls, shafts, bearings, drive belts, drive chains and gear boxes utilizing basic mechanic's hand and power tools, pumps, valves, piping systems, hydraulic cylinders & controls, pneumatic cylinders & controls
- Installs, modifies & relocates machine equipment
- Performs fabrication, mechanical, electrical, electronics, plumbing, & carpentry
- Maintains specified records, logs etc.
- Follow environmental, safety & health rules
- Ability to perform a routine setup & operate a drill press, lathe, & mill
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years experience
- HAAS CNC milling & Mori Seki
- PLC controls
- Process control & instrumentation (temperature, flow, pressure, level, etc.)
- Able to perform all required PM checklists
- Able to perform all required calibration for plant production equipment
- Knowledge of general maintenance techniques, processes, & procedures for the repair, install, etc.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems etc.
- Experience in the use of shop machinery, basic hand, shop and power tools and wide range of test & measuring equipment.
- Reads and interprets manuals, electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, drawings, & other written installation & repair instructions
- Ability to conduct various tests to systems, must know and apply appropriate regulations and standards
- Work with up to 480 volts high amperage electrical installation
- Understanding of basic water treatment principles
- Understands, adheres to & reinforces DWT policies
Physical Demands
- Work requires physical abilities such as extended periods of standing, walking and some occasional lifting of heavy items, ability to work in dark or tight spaces.
- Ability to squat, kneel, crouch, & work in small spaces
- Ladders & elevated walkways or scissor lifts required
Education and Certifications:
- High School Diploma
- Certifications held in relation to maintenance fields is a plus
