Description
- Managing Requests: You handle different loss mitigation requests coming from various sources.
- Meeting Deadlines: You make sure everything is processed on time and follows regulations.
- Reviewing Submissions: You check if the information submitted is complete and accurate.
- Analyzing Information: You look at the borrower's and loan's financial details to decide if they meet the necessary requirements.
- Escalating Issues: If needed, you escalate the request to the relevant investor.
- Communicating Decisions: You inform the servicers about the decision on the request in a timely manner.
Handling Inquiries:
- You’ll use Service Now to manage questions from investors and financial institutions.
- You’ll make phone calls using Microsoft Teams.
- Your goal is to provide great customer service, minimize wait times, and work with your team to make sure everything is covered.
- Try to solve customer issues in one call and handle escalations quickly.
- Keep detailed notes on how you resolved each call.
- Managing Insurance Cancellations:
- You’ll use eMAQCS Plus to handle requests to cancel mortgage insurance.
- Review these requests on time and communicate with financial institutions.
- Keep thorough records of what you find during reviews.
- Do weekly reports for investors and update a Microsoft Access database with your findings.
- Prioritize your tasks to manage your workload effectively.
Reporting:
- Put together and complete monthly or as-needed reports.
- Send these reports to investors and financial institutions.
- Work with internal teams to make sure data is accurate.
- Analyze data and summarize it where necessary.
- Coordinate with team members to complete these reports on time.
Quality Control and Training:
- Review loss mitigation requests for both Xtra and Traditional loans.
- Train staff on the best practices for underwriting loss mitigation.
- It’s all about managing inquiries, handling insurance cancellations, preparing reports, and ensuring quality control (while potentially helping train others)
Skills & Qualifications
default management experience, understand the delinquency reporting codes (how it connects to the data), general customer service experience-- managing phone calls, responding emails through ServiceNow platform. Can manage large data sets-- understanding the patterns (analytical)-- assumption, liability reviews
delinquency management experience (understanding lifecycle of delinquencies)
ADHOC report management
customer service piece
manage escalations, work with internal and external stakeholders
loss mitigation experience (modifications, repayment plans, retention, loss mitigation solutions)
foreclosure prevention experience
loan operations-- servicing aspect
creating reports (data analytics)
• Substantial Microsoft Office products (notably Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and Access) knowledge. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access
• Substantial knowledge of the delinquency life cycle start to finish including: early stage, late stage and post conveyance
• Substantial understanding of Investor requirements around Loss Mitigation alternatives used to assist homeowners such as: modifications, forbearance plans, deferrals and repayment plans
• Bachelors Degree preferred

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to deal with and resolve ambiguous situations
• History of effective time management and priority setting is needed
