JOB SUMMARY:
The North America Senior Licensing Coordinator manages product development and marketing reviews, while supporting the SVP and Licensing Department with scheduling, presentations, and research. They also maintain Mediabox and assist with brand guide development to ensure seamless communication with internal and external partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Product Development
- Manage the setup of new licensees PD process in Mediabox
- Schedule and send agenda for new licensee kick- off calls
- Manage the full product development and marketing review process
- Including Social Media Posts, Press Releases, Websites, Eblasts, POS Signage, Influencer…
- Compile assets into PDFs for brand manager and artist approval
- Communicate to licensees about brand/supplement guide and asset updates
- Keep report of and ship contractual samples to licensors
- Handled Artist/Management sample requests outside of contractual samples
- Organize the disposal of samples no longer needed
- Keep samples closet organized
- Maintenance of Mediabox
- Updating new PD contacts
- Working closely with creative & brand managers to ensure we have assets uploaded to Mediabox (shared by artist with Betty)
- Marking expired licenses
- Help with Brand Guide & Asset Guide management
- Design mood boards
- Liaison with designers on brand guide development and updates
- Liaise with licensees regarding revisions, comments and approvals, as well as follow-on stages through to final production
Supporting SVP and Licensing Department
- Coordinates, manages and organizes SVP’s calendar
- Partner and work extensively with internal departments and external partners to provide and/or receive necessary information, materials, approvals, updates, etc.
- Represent the department in a professional manner and creates a positive environment
- Review, edit, and enhance department presentations and decks for clarity, coherence, and visual appearance
- Track licensing deals via google doc to help ensure timely approval process
- Track Licensing x Brand Management Bi-Weekly Agendas
- Provide support with research projects related to new business for roster of artists
- Helping create and distribute monthly newsletters that include tour, album, anniversary updates and other important brand information
- Assist with Licensing Show planning
- Other miscellaneous duties and department projects as needed
- Must be in the office 5 days per week or otherwise advised by manager
JOB QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in licensing, product development, or a similar role in the entertainment or consumer products industry.
- Familiarity with Licensing Processes: Understanding of product approval cycles, marketing assets, and brand management.
- Industry Knowledge: Experience working with entertainment, music, or merchandise licensing is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Mediabox or similar licensing tools, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Event Coordination: Experience planning events like trade shows or product launches is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to talk or hear in order to give and receive information and instructions.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands to type, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to use computer keyboard up to 80% of the day.
- Visual acuity, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision for work on a laptop or other computer equipment.
- Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
