Responsibilities:
Plan and execute automated and performance tests working with QA/Testing staff, project managers, technical leads, and subject matter experts.
Report issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly.
Research available tools and participate in initiatives to implement those that will cost-effectively enhance testing capabilities and data quality.
Identify opportunities to apply existing automation or other tools to meet testing needs.
Research and identify root causes of performance issues in partnership with architects, developers, and network and system engineers.
Must Have's:
Strong programming skills
Java, C++, python
Strong Linux
Unix systems engineering
ETL Data Warehouse
Nice to Have:
Experience with Big Data, Hadoop, QA automation.
Some experience with mid-back-end QA development/ETL
Experience testing with Hadoop and Hadoop app scripting
Hadoop stack (Pig, Hive, Spark etc)
Knowledge of NoSQL platforms such as Hbase, Mongo or Cassandra is a bonus
