Sr. Java Developer - Atlas

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer to join our innovative and dynamic team. This role demands advanced expertise in Java and a solid understanding of multi-threaded design for performance and scalability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Java interoperability with various technologies and possess a thorough understanding of SQL as well as deployment and environment administration.

What You Will Do:
As a Java Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance applications. You will work closely with the project team to ensure that the system design meets business requirements and user stories. Your role will involve creating and optimizing Java code, managing interoperability with other technologies, and ensuring efficient deployment and performance of applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced Java applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
• Implement multi-threaded design to enhance application performance.
• Ensure Java interoperability with technologies such as XML, SQL, WSDL, and certificate-based security.
• Construct and issue SQL queries from Java code for database interactions.
• Optimize performance by configuring JVM parameters and using tools like VisualVM and JConsole.
• Write and maintain Unix/Linux scripts for automating tasks.
• Use Java IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans) for efficient development and manage source code with Git.
• Develop and integrate web services, particularly RESTful APIs, and payment processing APIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Java development.
• Advanced knowledge of Java and experience in other major object-oriented languages.
• Proficiency in multi-threaded design and application performance optimization.
• Experience with Java interoperability technologies (XML, SQL, WSDL, JDBC).
• Strong SQL skills, particularly in writing and optimizing queries from Java code.
• Experience with JVM tuning and performance tools (VisualVM, JConsole).
• Unix/Linux scripting experience.
• Familiarity with Java IDEs (IntelliJ, Eclipse, NetBeans) and source code management (Git).
• Experience with web services (REST) and payment processing APIs.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams.
