- Focus on delivery of business outcomes in sometimes chaotic circumstances
- Ability to determine appropriate stakeholders and drive buy-in and decisions
- Ability to assess impact to projects as events occur and take necessary action to preserve delivery success
- Experience taking a required outcome and breaking it down into sequenced component activities that will achieve the result (ie. Project planning or roadmapping)
- Experience with providing balanced status reporting that will encourage the correct activities from stakeholders
- Ability to facilitate meetings and keep a cadence that keeps the project moving forward
- Teach and uphold IT processes to all parties and ensure that the process is followed by all involved. Must be the voice of reason and authority, make the tough calls
- Coach multiple teams in implementing and practicing waterfall or agile principles and methods
- Coach team toward self-organization
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure backlog items are properly and fully defined prior to next phase/iteration/sprint
- Hold teams accountable for meeting commitments
- Motivate the team to achieve team goals
- Work with Product Owners, managers and the development team (including architects, testers, etc.) to evolve the organization while completing deliverables
- Lead a team to increase their productivity (velocity) while reducing defects for the organization collectively
- Facilitate the roles within the organization to work efficiently, effectively and together
- Work with the IT team to help identify and resolve impediments and barriers
- Work closely with the Product Owners, Management and stakeholders on all active projects
- Must be able to lead and demonstrate value-add principles to a team
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager highly preferred
- Understanding of data cleaning techniques and processes
- Understanding of waterfall and agile software development methodologies, values, and procedures
- Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem solving skills
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills, self-direction, and ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a high-quality, results driven, team-oriented environment
- Must have the ability to lead by influence, not by authority
- Proficient with desktop software applications including Microsoft Office
- Experience with Human Resources and Environment, Health and Safety and relevant systems is a plus
