Talent Space, Inc. is seeking a IT Contracts Specialist for a remote contract-to-hire opportunity in the Pacific Time Zone (PST)!
IT Contracts Specialist
The IT Contract Specialist independently and actively negotiates complex IT hardware, software, and service agreements with vendors for the entire vendor lifecycle and procurement processes while ensuring company master terms and conditions are negotiated and represented. The Sr. IT Contract Specialist actively negotiates and maintains IT vendor agreements and leads negotiation of such complex technology related and legal terms and conditions in consultation with Mercury Corporate Counsel.
Job Functions
Directly manage IT sourcing agreements and assist management, business units and vendors with negotiating and maintaining critical and complex IT sourcing efforts, RFP support, proposal evaluations, vendor selection recommendations, negotiating complex legal and contractual master agreement terms, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, maintenance agreements and supplier management.
Work with company Legal counsel, corporate procurement, and business users to review and negotiate complex vendor contracts while achieving the best pricing and documenting such savings.
Review and negotiate financial invoicing/payment terms and conditions and monitor contractual terms including invoicing and payment plans, Service Level Agreements and change orders. Help document and resolve vendor contract disputes.
Interfaces with all levels of management and business users as the focal point for procurement knowledge, practices, policy, and governance.
Assist in the budget development and tracking/reporting of supplier contract variances.
Utilizes company procurement systems including DocuSign, Coupa, Adaptive to manage contract execution and lifecycle.
Maintains IT master contracts inventory in Coupa and provide reporting as needed.
Other functions as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is required.
Master's degree a plus
Experience:
5-6 years related experience in IT contract negotiation and administration.
1-3 years related experience in financial management, accounts payable and invoice processing.
Extensive experience negotiating hardware, software and services contracts including technology vendor terms and conditions, software and services master agreements, NDAs, statements of work, contract renewals and change orders.
Expertise and experience in independently managing contract lifecycle, negotiating, and maintaining software, hardware and services agreement terms and details knowledge of sourcing processes and negotiation terms.
Excellent written and verbal communication skill required to professionally represent the Company and department to vendors and employees through complex contract negotiation processes.
Experience interfacing with various levels of company management and IT vendors including CTO and leadership as well as internal Corporate Counsel.
Knowledge of financial treatment of transactions including capitalization, amortization and leasing, ability to build collaborative working relationships with leadership and vendors.
Working knowledge of MS applications PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook
Working knowledge of Coupa, Adaptive, and DocuSign
