About the Job
We are currently looking for Senior Interior Designers with 8+ years experience to join our growing New Orleans or DC studio.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and collaborate with clients, project team members and consultants from startup and pre-design through construction and occupancy to program and meet project requirements, vision and goals.
- Develop high quality design solutions and prepare presentations and documents through schematic design, design development and construction documents phases.
- Express conceptual ideas quickly through hand sketching and use of basic 3D modeling programs.
- Create compelling storyboards, design drawings and outstanding graphic presentations.
- Develop FF&E, color palettes and material presentations from the conceptual phase through specifications.
- Understand how to advance a project through all design phases from concept to completion.
Qualifications
Required
- 8+ years of professional work experience at an architecture or commercial interior design firm.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture from an accredited school of design.
- Extensive knowledge of design, trends, space planning, construction methodology, interior materials and finishes, FF&E and planning codes.
- Strong technical, creative and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite and Revit is required.
Preferred
- Experience in Higher Education, Workplace, Healthcare, Hospitality and/or Mixed-Use projects is a plus.
- LEED or WELL Accredited
- Professional license
