Description:
As a member of the Situational Awareness Engineering team, the Senior Infrastructure Architect will design software solutions that support the enterprise infrastructure environment.
Responsibilities:
• Architect and design services that produce value for the corporation while leading and mentoring lower level architects and engineers.
• Architect software infrastructure solutions that support and integrate off the shelf systems for:
• Hardware performance monitoring.
• Application performance monitoring.
• Enterprise Event Management.
• Performance analysis.
• Provide technical direction, planning, and vision.
• Work with both suppliers and internal teams to select and design the best possible solution.
• Manage proof of concept evaluations of products.
• Develop documentation for requirements, architectural designs, engineering drawings, and diagrams.
• Encourage an environment of sharing and teamwork among the project teams.
• Develop and document best practices for system installation, deployment, and operation.
• Explore and stays abreast of new technologies that may bring value to the organization.
• Act as technical leader on new projects, creates, maintains, and owns infrastructure related technical specifications, designs, and schedules.
• Forge strong relationships across departments.
• Gather and communicate infrastructure needs and interests to product and project teams.
• Anticipate and act upon issues that arise, providing alternative approaches and solutions.
• Expert in a vital technology area, serve as the chief resource to others both internally and externally.
• Communicate a clear vision of how the technology can be optimally applied to products and services.
• Evaluates and creates new tools and techniques to facilitate efficient infrastructure related practices.
• Sets the standard for highest quality of work.
• Mentors others and leads by example.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or 5 to 7 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years of expertise in the infrastructure architectural field.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as dynaTrace, New Relic APM or Synthetics, MoogSoft Incident, Zenoss, Solarwinds, and/or Nagios.
• Ability to architect solutions that integrate software from many different suppliers.
• Experience selecting products and vendors to support enterprise initiatives.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio (or equivalent), MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Excellent customer service, leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong prioritization, time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skill.
• Ability to convey complex ideas and concepts to all levels.
Must Have:
• Architecture / Design * and 3 Yrs.
• Architecture Experience *and 3 Yrs.
