Senior Industrial Electrical Engineer

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Sr. Industrial Electrical Engineer, Advanced Technologies & Services, hereafter referred to as “EE AT&S”' is responsible for electrical & controls sub-system design, development, production and maintenance throughout the product life cycle. The EE AT&S will report to the Design Manager and work closely with multidisciplinary engineers and technologists to ensure delivery of proof of concept, prototype and production systems in accordance with the AT&S product development process (PDP).
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated ability to develop electrical sub-systems using CAD software to create schematics, wiring layouts and BOMs for electrical panels including defining power consumption budgets and conductor sizing per NEC standard.

• Safety: Unwavering commitment to ensuring our systems are developed with safety as 1st priority Ensure robust engineering processes are in place and adhered to: ie, applicable internal / external Electrical Codes, NEC, regulations, Hazops, DOE’s, SOP’s etc
• Design of electrical panels using CAD software to create schematics, wiring diagrams and BOMs
• Fabrication of proof of concepts, prototypes and production level systems
• Creation of test plans to ensure the highest quality and safety for electrical panels and systems
• Documentation for systems (part, assy, BOMs) adhering to best practices for revision control
• Performing maintenance and upgrades for systems installed in field and document revision changes
• Creation of project plans, designs of experiments (DOE) and revision controlled documentation
• Participation in the AT&S established Performance Management Process (PMP)
• Documenting results and findings into reports, emails, databases in an organized & accurate manner
• Project plans executed and completed on-time & within budget in accordance with the AT&S PDP
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with functional leaders across company
• Evaluation and protection of Intellectual Property (IP), working with legal department, and engineering teams, as required, to write/submit patentable inventions
• Manage internal/external research collaborations
• Collaboration with Quality & Regulatory Teams to ensure products are developed and validated in a manner that complies with applicable local and global regulatory agencies (FCC, UL, Intertek)
• Development and maintenance of business critical relationships including consultants and vendors
• Business Travel up to 10%

Are you a MATCH?
The EE AT&S must have experience managing multiple electrical projects associated with the development of complex electrical & or control systems. The candidate must be able to contribute to and assume managerial responsibilities for assigned projects in addition to existing technical responsibilities.
BS in Electrical or Controls Engineering desired however, In lieu of degree requirement, may accept an equivalent level of education and/or experience.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in product development technical roles within US (or global companies) that develop, manufacture and support industrial electrical and control systems
• Experience and/or Knowledge of the following:
o Engineering Software (AutoCAD &/or SolidWorks Electrical)
o Electrical Instrumentation (Oscilloscope, DVM, Power analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers)
o Reliability & Environmental Testing
o Electrical Standards & Codes (NEC, UL, FCC)
• Professional Engineer License is a plus
• Understanding of International, specifically Canadian, electrical codes is a plus
• Experience with robotics is a plus
• Experience mentoring junior engineers is a plus
