As a Senior Hygiene Specialist, you’ll provide operational and technical support for hygiene concerns and continuous improvement initiatives. Working cross-functionally, you and your teams will collaborate to address new product/process development, ensuring quality by design, support the implementation of operational standards and strategies across regions and factories, while maintaining and enhancing competence requirements.
+ Provide operational technical support in hygienic design and continuous improvement activities on Good Manufacturing Practices with Purina Technical Competence Unit (TCU) and across regions
+ Support implementation and execution of operational standards and strategies on hygiene subjects (e.g. PRP - hygiene, pest control, zoning) in Purina Regions/Markets and Factories
+ Maintain and enhance the competence requirements for hygiene subjects in the regions, develop training materials, and provide training
+ Reinforce and improve strategies, standards, processes, and activities, to fulfill the hygiene requirements along the value chain
+ Create and implement continuous improvement programs focused on hygiene and basic conditions prerequisite program (PRPs)
+ Support and align the infrastructure and systems requirements necessary to consistently ensure hygiene requirements, leading to the timely delivery of quality products
+ Support, and act on the feedback from the implementation of new or updated hygiene standards and processes
+ Network across Regions and other categories to ensure best practices are considered
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred microbiology, chemistry, food science, or engineering
+ 4+ years’ experience in factory or market hygienist environment
Other
+ Experience with thermal possessing of low acid canned foods is preferred
The approximate pay range for this position is $87,000 to $122,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. Nestlé offers performance-based incentives and a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k with company match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
