We are searching for a Sr. Human Resources Manager. In this critical leadership role, you would be responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations, talent management, health and welfare benefits, payroll, and employment immigration. You would lead an experienced payroll team that processes twice monthly payroll for the bank as well as our district associations, with a total of approximately 2,000 exempt and non-exempt employees. You would design and administer human resources policies and procedures that cover the bank and can also be applicable to our associations, including on-going compliance and audits. You would oversee and establish/revise procedures and proactively seek out process improvements.
You will report to and assist the Sr. Vice President of HR in strategic planning and delivery of Human Resources services to the bank and our association customers and lead a team of 3 payroll staff and an HR Generalist. You will collect, analyze, and leverage HR data and insights to make recommendations to leadership. You will be authorized to represent the bank to partner and enhance bank and/or association business needs and objectives.
Day-to Day-Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead a team that provides guidance to managers and employees on issues related to talent management, diversity and inclusion, payroll, benefits, and retirement.
- Be a business partner with leaders with a focus on coaching and consulting to leverage your HR expertise to influence business decisions.
- Administer, interpret, and assist in revising and developing various human resource practices, policies and procedures. Provide advice and counsel to managers regarding personnel practices, policies, employment laws, and various employee relations issues. Recommend policy changes to the Sr. VP of HR.
- In partnership with the AgFirst/Farm Credit Bank of Texas plan administrator, responsible for benefit plan design and implementation. Interpret provisions of benefit plans, monitoring programs, and making recommendations for enhancements.
- Ensure bank compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations.
- Oversee compliance with USCIS regulations including I-9 and employee immigration programs as well as employment-based visa processes.
- Provide Sr. VP of HR various human resource reports as necessary. Assist in evaluation of reports, budgets, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Participate in developing department goals and objectives, development plans, systems, and processes with an emphasis on process improvements and operational excellence.
- Handle employee counseling, employee assistance program, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing; resolve employee relations issues using conflict resolution best practices; participate as a team member on bank, departmental and divisional change management teams.
- Oversee employee meetings and employee engagement events. Present at a variety of HR sponsored activities, programs, training sessions, committee meetings and preparing supporting materials. Develop agendas and review topics and prepare employee communications.
