Our Sr HR Generalist is a crucial role in delivering HR services and support to employees at a designated site or location. Responsible for handling a wide range of HR activities, including employee relations, recruitment activities, performance management, benefits administration, and HR policy and program implementation. This position requires a strong understanding of HR processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide high-quality HR support in an organization supporting multiple functions and interfacing with both salary professionals and an hourly workforce (engineering, manufacturing, operations, administrative support functions, etc.).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Employee Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and guidance on HR policies and procedures. Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations when necessary, and provide guidance to supervisors and managers on effective conflict resolution.
- Case Documentation: Documents and maintains accurate and comprehensive case records, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations. Capture relevant details, actions taken, and outcomes for future reference and reporting purposes, and be a baseline for self-service initiatives.
- Case Resolution: Investigates and resolves HR cases, such as employee complaints, policy violations, and disciplinary matters, in alignment with established procedures and legal requirements. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to gather necessary information and make informed decisions.
- Knowledge Management: Contributes to the development and maintenance of a knowledge base or FAQs related to HR case management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is accessible to HR team members, managers, and employees. This information will be a baseline for knowledge transfer and capture.
- Performance Management: Supports the performance management process by providing guidance on goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans. Collaborate with managers to address performance-related issues and foster a culture of continuous feedback and development.
- FMLA/ADA Compliance: Ensures compliance with the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), or other applicable laws and regulations governing leaves of absence. Collaborate with legal counsel, when necessary, to interpret and apply relevant legislation.
- HR Policy Implementation
- Ensures compliance with HR policies and procedures, communicating updates and changes to employees as necessary. Provide guidance, interpretation of HR policies, and training to employees and managers, promoting a culture of adherence and understanding.
- Employee Data Management: Maintains accurate employee records and data within the HRIS system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Generates reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making and identify trends.
- Employee Engagement: Promotes a positive employee experience by executing programs, initiatives and activities, such as employee surveys, recognition programs, and employee events. Collaborates with HR business partners to identify opportunities for enhancing employee experience and satisfaction.
- HR Projects and Process Improvement: Contributes to HR projects and initiatives, such as process improvement efforts, policy development, and HR system implementations. Identifies opportunities to streamline HR processes and enhance service delivery.
- Compliance and Legal Requirements: Stays informed about relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry trends. Ensures HR practices comply with legal requirements and participate in audits or investigations as needed.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with HR colleagues, including HR business partners, talent acquisition, talent management, learning and development, and compensation and benefits to deliver integrated and effective HR services to the site.
- Reporting and Analytics: Generates and analyze HR service delivery metrics and reports, identifying trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for enhanced service delivery.

- HR Metrics and Analytics: Leverages HR metrics and analytics to drive closed loop processes and measure the effectiveness of HR programs, identify trends, and make data-backed recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.
- Leadership and Influence: Coaches managers and employees and fosters a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Cultural Competence and Inclusion & Diversity: Deep cultural sensitivity, promote diversity and inclusion, and understand the importance of embracing diverse perspectives and backgrounds within the workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5 years of related HR experience in generalist roles, with a focus on HR service delivery
