Job Summary:
The Sr. Human Resource Generalist primary role and responsibility is effectively leading and participating in the Talent Acquisition team’s recruitment to fill professional, technical, administrative, and construction management roles in a timely manner to provide quality employees to meet the organizations growing needs. This will include engaging and managing third party staffing agencies as needed to supplement recruitment capabilities and resources. The work location for this role is the Strike corporate office in Spring, TX and it currently has one direct report.
Primary Job Function:
- Develop, maintain, and administer procedures which deliver effective results and efficient processes within the area of responsibility.
- Define, track, and report key performance indicators/metrics within the area of responsibility to ensure organizational recruitment needs are effectively delivered in a timely manner.
- Ensure job descriptions accurately reflect the job duties/functions/FLSA classification and the required experience/education/competencies/physical demands/other criteria of the role.
- Identify and recommend short-term and long-term goals, milestones, and benchmarks.
- Prepare ad hoc reports for Senior Leadership Team as requested.
- Participate in special projects that support the organizational and functional objectives which will include the coordination with other internal functions to achieve deliverables of high quality and integrity in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular quality assurance assessments on processes and procedures within the area of responsibility to ensure process/procedure compliance and desired discipline to processes is achieved.
- Provide continuous improvement actions for employee onboarding and orientation.
- Support other HR disciplines and organization functions as needed.
- Support Employee Relations, Talent Development, and Performance Management for SG&A functions within the corporate office
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience working in the human resources field.
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, onboarding, and orientation.
- Leading or supervising a recruitment team is preferred.
- Managing 3rd party vendors is a plus.
- Experience with employee relations, talent development, or performance management is a plus.
- Reporting on key performance indicators for the full recruitment lifecycle preferred.
- Having worked in oil and gas, pipelines, construction, or energy infrastructure preferred.
- Applicant tracking, HRIS, and other recruiting systems experience
Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field or equivalent work experience.
- Human resources certification preferred

- Effective reporting skills/experience a plus.
- Effective understanding of local, state, and federal laws involving employment, HR, and data privacy.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS, payroll, and similar human resource management software and practices.
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear.
- Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms to grasp.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
