JOB SUMMARY
Administers daily procedures and policies relating to all phases of Human Resources by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Assists in coordination and tracking of contingent staffing.
- Assists in recruiting, pre-employment screening and onboarding.
- Reviews new hire checklists for completion and 100% accuracy.
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
- Champions Ontellus Core Values and fosters an environment of Respect, Diversity, and Inclusion.
- Acts as the frontline HR expert and escalates complex matters as needed to Human Resources leadership.
- Partners with internal stakeholders understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Creates and analyzes data for various leadership reporting.
- Frontline resource for performance management, employee relations issues.
- Monitors employee engagement and works closely with management to improve work relationships and increase employee morale and retention.
- Assist with employee events and engagement initiatives including DE&I and Employee Engagement committee facilitation.
- Partners with the payroll function to ensure bi-weekly reporting, time and attendance and other payroll related functions are completed timely and accurately.
- Preparation of government annual reporting such as unemployment and disability requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- BA/BS Human Resources or Business-related curriculum required.
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of California employment law is required.
- Partners with internal stakeholders understand and execute the organization’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Strong oral and written communication/presentation skills.
- Outstanding interpersonal skill with, peers, superiors, vendors, and other partners.
- Strong computer skills to include strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines.
- Ability to travel to other business units.
- SHRM CP or PHR certification preferred.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, Paycom preferred.
