Responsibilities
**Position Summary:**
Serve as administrative leader of URMC’s Gun Violence Prevention Program. Work collaboratively with the faculty leads of the program and the steering group to develop and advance strategic partnerships that supports the mission of the program. Provide coordination, management and support for the program and related activities. Work directly faculty leads, research and community partners to advance special projects. Collaborate with the Quality Institute, Trauma Center and Psychiatry health economist for data collection and analysis for overall program evaluation and effectiveness. Coordinate and manage ongoing and ad hoc special projects as assigned by CAO. Coordinate application process of identified grants, lead implementation. Reports directly to a CAO.

Subscribes to the Department’s goal of creating a culturally competent environment by treating patients/families, trainees, research subjects and co-workers in a sensitive and caring manner with appropriate attention to cultural differences. Participates in available cultural competence events and trainings.
**Specific Responsibilities:**
+ Directs the planning and implementation of the Gun Violence Prevention Program, an inter-departmental project that will involve Psychiatry, Surgery- Trauma Center, ED, SW, Peds and the Office of Health Equity Research, to achieve, monitor and improve clinical services and meet project goals.
+ Develop and manager process for tracking/trending and to examine the process of care and new services implementation.
+ Assists Data Analyst with data collection and project information. Responsible for preparing reports or reporting tools that will assist faculty leads in maintaining requirements and quality improvement as set forth by URMC and/or the project steering group.
+ Manage the program budget / expenses and prepare its expense reports including getting CLASP certified.
+ Acts as a liaison between and disseminates information and updates to Co- Directors, Data Analyst, Emergency Department Senior Social Workers, steering group, community agencies, and other stakeholders.
+ Maintains a working knowledge of the area(s) of expertise by reviewing research literature and abstracts, attending pertinent meetings and webinars.
+ Responsible for the completion of grant applications for the program. Work collaboratively with Co-Directors to identify potential grants. Coordinates support from the HEPSO office for assistance with grant writing, budgeting and related data needs.
+ Coordinate ad hoc special projects and other duties as assigned
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree required
+ 3-5 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Functional expertise in database software. Computer Skills required
+ Good communication and interpersonal skills required. Self-directed and motivated with demonstratively strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize preferred.
