Sr. Fund Accountant
We are currently seeking candidates for a Sr. Fund Accountant opportunity with a highly successful Investment Management firm located in Boston, MA. The Sr. Fund Accountant will maintain controls and will drive key processes, including fund accounting, fund NAC performance reviews, fund expense administration, and fund reporting. The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of hands-on fund accounting experience in financial services.
This is a 6+ month contract opportunity, paying $45-$50/hour (depending on experience). This role supports a hybrid work model (on-site 3 days and remote 2 days/week).

Responsibilities:
- Perform fund accounting and fund NAV performance reviews
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly fund accounting and operations activities
- Provide routine support for fund class action and fund expense administration
- Partner with fund controllers and team managers in protecting key controls and driving operational processes, including daily and monthly expense administration and NAV production
- Cultivate and maintain strong external vendor relationships and internal business relationships
- Uphold the control environment for a high-volume of accounting and cash transactions
- Collaborate with global team members in Europe and APAC for product support
- Leverage technology to refine and/or automate fund operations and NAV controls to scale the business
- Support special projects associated with the Investment Management firm’s operations and system
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 5-7+ years of fund accounting experience in financial services (investment management, asset management, hedge fund, fund administrator, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented, highly organized, and dependable
- Great time management and prioritization skills
- Strong technical skills (MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access))
- Completion of or progress towards CPA, CFA, CAIA, or MBA a plus
