Job Description:
The Equipment Senior Specialist is responsible for creating, supporting and/or managing projects for the deployment of new equipment, overall company equipment tracking, and general asset management. This individual uses project management skills to develop, track, and communicate solutions that meet internal/external demands and maintenance for cross functional teams. Up to 15% travel may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitates, executes, and delivers multiple concurrent implementations for equipment across all RaceTrac stores.
- Manages and creates documentation to execute all prototype and site specific equipment and asset upkeep and tracking, including vendor information.
- Streamlines communication and owns purchase schedule updates and design change developments based on feedback provided by external and internal teams.
- Supervises Test Kitchen updates and adjustments, and organizes Lake Ridge warehouse equipment items.
- Carries out ad hoc support functions for Equipment Manager and various company initiatives as needed.
- Facilitates external vendor relationships in areas that specifically deal with design presentations and equipment selection.
- Maintains maintenance documentation per equipment to ensure consistency in processes and reporting.
- Owns and maintains all smallwares supporting food offers; in conjunction with new store openings, remodels and enhancements.
- Fulfills completion of equipment forecast spreadsheet on a quarterly basis to provide insight and visibility.
- Prioritizes and responds to all requests, problems, and questions that arise during day to day equipment management.
- Provides recommendations in the design and rollout of new store construction as well as existing store remodels and retrofits as needed.
- Assists Equipment Manager in testing equipment for future or replacement possibilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, or business field preferred.
- 3-5 years project management preferred
- Previous retail experience is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project and MS Office. AutoCAD is a plus.
- Knowledge of store layout design, equipment sourcing, millwork design.
- Advanced comprehension of construction plans and documents is a plus
