Responsibilities
**General Purpose:**
The URMC Payer Contracting & Reimbursement Sr Financial Analyst leverages multi-disciplinary skills in finance, data analytics, and systems to provide foundational support in the development, monitoring, and compliance of contractual payment agreements, including governmental reimbursement, for the management and reporting of hospital and health system revenue.
**Specific Responsibilities:**
+ Applies detailed knowledge in hospital reimbursement methodologies and systems along with data analytics to facilitate governmental and financial reporting requirements. Includes both monthly and non-routine reporting.
+ Models contracts and prepares revenue analyses to support payer contract negotiations, rate setting, contract compliance, and assess reimbursement externality impacts.
+ Utilizes functional knowledge of the hospital billing system including transaction & claims data relationships, pathways, database record navigation along with SQL programming to construct processes, facilitate data analytics and reporting.
+ Audits, researches, tests, and quantifies contractual issues to support payment compliance resolution.

**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business administration required
+ MBA preferred.
+ 3-5 years of related analytical and financial management experience;
+ Hospital reimbursement experience preferred;
+ or equivalent combination of education and experience required
+ Competency with Microsoft Office Excel and Access required
+ Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio preferred.

**Pay Range**
Pay Range: $68,400 - $102,600 Annually
_The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations._
