Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. This remote position, based in Boston, MA, offers an exciting opportunity to provide analytical support and focus on economic research within our financial analysis department. The ideal candidate will excel in performing complex analysis, ensuring compliance with company policies, and facilitating accurate financial planning and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review, reconcile, and consolidate complex financial data on a routine basis, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve outstanding issues.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing in-depth analysis and presentation of financial reports.
- Contribute to close processes and provide essential insights for operational efficiency.
- Identify, analyze, and maintain data to support management in process improvements and initiatives.
- Participate in process reviews, business analyses, and internal control testing to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor other staff members as applicable and assist with various projects assigned by supervisors.
- Additional responsibilities may include focusing on specific departments or locations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree required; Advanced degree desirable
- 5 - 8 years' related experience; or a Master's degree with 3 years' experience; or a PhD without experience
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and email applications
- Working knowledge of GAAP and SOX
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills
